Responsibilities
Tasks
• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
• Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
• Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
• Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that promotes employee engagement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns.
• Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
• Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
• Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
• Develop strategies for attracting top talent, ensuring the company remains competitive in recruiting and retaining skilled employees.
• Lead the organization’s response to crises or unexpected challenges, ensuring effective communication and resolution strategies are in place.
• Analyze and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Evaluate and implement transportation management systems (TMS) and other technology solutions to streamline operations.
• Manage accurate records of all operations, finances, and compliance-related activities, ensuring transparency and accountability
